I have a passion for the beauty in wood.

Perfection is Not what I’m about!  I use less than perfect wood, so I get less than perfect bowls.  I get a more raw and natural piece of work in the end, which I find very pleasing.

I use spalted wood, burl wood, and I often turn straight from the stump.  The wood is so wet it’s spitting water/sap the whole time!

I only use local Maine wood!  Most of it you will find in a Maine firewood pile.  Why buy exotics from overseas or even the west coast when there is abundance of beautiful wood right here at home?
